With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Edwin Seigler of Elberton, Georgia, born in Madison, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 9, 2026 at the age of 85. He was predeceased by: his parents, Obie Augustus Seigler, Sr. and Fannie Mae Robinson Seigler; his wife Sarah Mae "Goose" Smith Seigler; and his siblings, Frances Seigler, Obie A. Seigler, Jr., Glen Seigler and Jimmy Seigler.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jane Brooks (George) and Misty Cook (Brett Shinall); his sister Virginia McIntosh; his sister-in-law Elizabeth Seigler; his grandchildren, Andrew Bailey (Lydia Delph), Marty Bailey (Ashley), Kyle Bailey (Lindsey), Dylan Brooks (Dan) and Matthew Brooks (Amanda Cate); and his great grandchildren, Noah Bailey, Buck Bailey, Moli Bailey and Margaret Bailey. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
