He was predeceased by: his parents, Mitchell Spinks and Francis Spinks (Wines); his wife Gayle Spinks (Alexander); his siblings, Loretta "Mickey" Hewit, Patricia Glaze, Mary Jean Cappella and Richard Spinks; and his son-in-law Ted Hoffman.
He is survived by: his children, Michelle Hoffman of Haymarket, VA, Shannon Dennis (Chris) of Upperville, VA, Susan Tierney (Joe) of Haymarket, VA and Mia Spinks of Elberton, GA.; and his brother Steve Spinks of Virginia Beach, VA.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
