She was predeceased by: her parents, Donnie Paul Johnson and Icie Mae Madden Johnson; her husband Marvin Eugene Smith; her children, Michael and Kathy; and her siblings, Melvin, Collis and Andrena.
She is survived by: her daughter Andrea of Cleveland; her sisters, Joan Walton of Elberton and Joyce Gettys of Fountain Inn, SC; and her siblings-in-law, Wayne and Maxine Smith of Elberton. She is also survived by five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; five nieces; and one nephew.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions in Kathryn's memory be made to Bristol Hospice, 2053 Experiment Station Road, Building 500, Watkinsville, GA 30677.
