It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Missionary Matilda Perrin (Elberton, Georgia), who passed away on December 23, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bertha Walton and John Wesley Grimes; her husband James "Puni" Perrin; her stepmother Mary Grimes; her sons, Scott Douglas Perrin, Bart Anthony Perrin and Malcolm Antonio Perrin; and her siblings, Helen Willis, Bessie Walton, Carolyn Marie Walton, Robert L. Walton and Vernon Grimes.
She is survived by: her children, Larry Perrin (Paula) of Elberton, GA, Randy Perrin (Diane) of Elberton, GA, Steve Perrin (Venessa) of Elberton, GA, Vermillion Heard of Auburn, GA, Myra Perrin of Elberton, GA and Peggie Mack of Elberton, GA; her siblings, Samuel Grimes of Commerce, GA, Cornell Grimes of Commerce, GA, Frederick Walton (Louise) of Elberton, GA, Francis Ward of Commerce, GA, Wendy Sepateh of Riverdale, GA, Terry David (Jerry) of Athens, GA, Jeanette Walton Carter of Elberton, GA and Ruby Pittman (Bobby) of Commerce, GA; her cousin Carl L. Walton (Sarah) of Elberton, GA; and her goddaughter First Lady Linda Jordan (Elder Jordan) of Elberton, GA. She is also survived by sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
