He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Ann Dickerson Jones; his parents, Robert Boyd Jones and Laura Belle Payton Jones; and his sisters, Annie Ruth Scarborough and Dora Jones.

He is survived by: his daughter Tami; his son-in-law David Thornton of Elberton; his son Tim Jones of Elberton; his grandchildren, CJ of Elberton, Hannah Brown of Elberton, River Jones of Elberton and Hunter Jones of Elberton; and his great grandchildren, Rielyn and Colton.

Flowers are accepted, and contributions may be made in his memory to First Baptist Church Ramp Ministry, 132 Heard Street, Elberton, GA 30635.
