She was predeceased by: her husband John Merritt; her parents, Grady Newell "Buster" Halstead and Ethel Draffin; and her daughter Ethel Nan Peacock. She is survived by: her sons, Bobby Gene Peacock (Tina) of Bowman, Grady'Lynn'Peacock (Cathy) of Hoschton and Clarence'Jay'Peacock (Crystal) of Covington. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
