He was loved and cherished by many people including: wife: Margie Nell Crane Parr Drake; parents: Clark Edward Drake and Lizzie Mae Scott Drake; children: Tara Brianne Drake Thigpen (Ernie), Thomas David Drake, Jr. (Debra), and Tricia Joy Drake Pless; step-son: Jessie Freeman Parr; sister: Joanne Pierce; siblings: Sara Jane Moore, James Randall "Boone" Drake, Laura Diane Plont, and an infant sister; grandchildren: Christopher Thigpen (Destiny), Jasper Thigpen (Summer), Adrian Drake, Colton Thigpen, and Isabella Pless; great-grandchildren: Carter Thigpen and Selene Thigpen; and two infant grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Berry Funeral Home (1265 Washington Hwy, Elberton, GA 30635). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Riverside Baptist Church Cemetery.
