Vernon Willis Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 5, 2025, at the age of 83, Vernon Willis of Elberton, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Willis and Rosa Beatrice Willis (Nimmons); his wife Betty Lorraine Willis (Stratton); his siblings, Joyce Starrett, John R. Willis and Frankie Willis; his brother-in-law Tommy Evans; his children, William David Willis of Elberton, GA and Sharon Mills (Ryan) of Bowman, GA; his grandchildren, Summer Willis Milford (Jake), Brett Mills and Tanner Mills (Amanda); and his great grandchildren, Hampton Milford, Halstyn Milford and Peyton Mills.
He is survived by: his niece Cindy Agnew (Bill Gilstrap); his great-nieces, Aspen Yessayan (Garen) and Claudia Agnew; and his siblings-in-law, Lynne Evans and Charles Starrett.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the New Bethel United Methodist Church (2708 Rock Branch Rd, Elberton, GA 30635). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
