It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Willie Ed McDowell of Elko, Georgia, who passed away on March 16, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter C. McDowell and Henrietta Bell McDowell; his sons, Donnie Lee McDowell and Jimmy Ray McDowell; and his siblings, Walter "Buddy" McDowell, James R. McDowell, J. W. McDowell, Pauline McDowell, Dolly Streetman and Louise Carter.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann McDowell of Elko; his children, Ronnie McDowell (Del) of Elko and Kathy Etheridge of Elko; his grandchildren, Michael Etheridge, Christopher Etheridge, Brent McDowell (Karen), Dustin McDowell (Sarah), Mikailea McDowell and Camree Steese (Jamie); and his great grandchildren, Camden, Kensley, Victoria, Tatem and Theo.
