He was predeceased by : his parents, Andrew Jackson Greer and Creasie Douglas Greer; and his sisters, Geraldine Thomas, Gelene Watson and Christine Carroll.

He is survived by : his wife Brenda Allen Greer of Ellabell; his children, Donald Jason Greer of Guyton, Jennifer Jones (Eugene) of Rincon and Creasie Melissa Sweeley (Jason Massey) of Ellabell; and his brother Ronald Greer of Hazlehurst. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.
