Alice Lee Ashe Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alice Lee Ashe of Ellijay, Georgia, who passed away on March 2, 2026 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Dunn and Berta Lee Jones Dunn; and her brothers, Gene Dunn (Bertie Ann), Troy Dunn (Jackie) and David Dunn.
She is survived by: her sons, Tim Defoor (Shelly) of Ellijay, GA and Corey Defoor (Dora) of Cleveland, Tennessee; and her siblings, Jack Dunn (Terry) of Illinois, Margaret Sanford (Benny) of Ellijay, GA, Darlene Sanford (Anthony) of Chatsworth, GA and Brenda Darby of Ellijay. She is also survived by four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 4th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Bernhardt Funeral Home (163 River St, Ellijay, GA 30540). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, March 4th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church (1205 Mt Zion Rd, Ellijay, GA 30536).
The family respectfully asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Bernhardt Funeral Home @ 163 River Street, Ellijay, GA 30540 to help alleviate the family of remaining expenses.
