He was predeceased by: his brother Ronald Lee Woody. He is survived by: his parents, John Edwin Woody of Ellijay, GA and Saralene Burgess of Ellijay, GA; his wife Tammie Woody of Ellijay, GA; his children, Caleb Woody (Rachel) of Ball Ground, GA and Caitlin Johnson (Parker) of Talking Rock, GA; his sister Edwina Daman (Paul) of Ellijay, GA; his grandchildren, Titus Woody, Abram Woody, Nora Johnson and Evan Johnson; and his parents-in-law, David and Charlotte Hedden. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family respectfully asks that no flowers be sent to the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gilmer County FFA c/o Mr. Mike Bushey @ 408 Bobcat Trail, Ellijay, GA 30540, the Gilmer County Park and Recreation @ 1561 South Main St. Ellijay, GA 30540, or any foundation of your choice in memory of Mr. Dexter Woody.
