With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Douglas Fricks of Ellijay, Georgia, who passed away on March 2, 2026 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Douglas shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Douglas farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bealer Fricks and Callie Fricks (Crane); and his brothers, Donald Fricks and Clayton Crane. He is survived by: his wife Sandra J. Fricks (Starks); his siblings, Leslie Colwell (David) and David Fricks (Carolyn); his mother-in-law Mary Ruth Starks; his siblings-in-law, Michelle Teems (Dennis) and Larry Starks of Ellijay; and his nephew Cole Bennett (Allie). He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 4th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Logan Funeral Home Chapel (357 Dalton St, Ellijay, GA 30540). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 5th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
