Floy Clayton Obituary

Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Floy leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Chadwick and Florence Ann Forrester Chadwick; her husband Billy Joe Clayton; and her son Zendell Clayton. She is survived by: her daughter Velma Jo; her son-in-law Zeke Buffington; her granddaughter Haleigh Buffington; her great grandchildren, Adleigh, Brantley and Julieanna; and her siblings, Lloyd Chadwick and Margaret Dockery. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery (10358 GA-52, Ellijay, GA 30536).
