He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Madison Painter and Irene McClurd Painter. He is survived by: his children, Steve Painter, John Painter, Jacob Painter, Bryan Painter, Kimberly Painter, Beth Pruitt and Sheila Fraizer; and his siblings, James W. Painter and Ozella Garner. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
