He was predeceased by: his parents, William H. Slep and Sara Jane Miller Slep; his former wife Cora "Kokie"; his brother William "Bill" H. Slep III; and his daughter Robin Marie Willis.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Slep of Ellijay, GA; his daughter Laura Jane; his son-in-law Jim Gassler of Georgetown, SC; his son Kurt; his daughter-in-law Dora of Charlotte, NC; his son Scot; his daughter-in-law Lucy of Rocky Mount, NC; his sons, Shawn of Cumming, GA and Derek of Charlotte, NC; and his children-in-law, Missy West of Ellijay, GA and Josh Howard of Ellijay, GA. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Knights of Columbus or St. Vincent de Paul Society, Good Samaritan Catholic Church of Ellijay.
