It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Johnette Hood of Ellijay, Georgia, born in Boston, Massachusetts, who passed away on March 26, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Aram Johnian; her husband Leon Dan Hood; her son Glen McAvoy; and her sister Annette Johnian Wiswall. She is survived by: her daughter Lorelle M. LoCurto (Ken) of Kennesaw, GA; her grandchildren, Glen McAvoy II (Amber), Iain McAvoy, Colin, Ashtyn, Christopher and John LoCurto; her great grandchildren, Adalie McAvoy and Grayson McAvoy; and her siblings, Elise Clark of North Woodstock, NH, Rev. Paul Johnian (Mona) of Franklin, TN, Walter Johnian of Winchester, MA and John Johnian of Andover, MA. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and extended family/friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Smokey Mountain Children's Home at 449 McCarn Circle Sevierville, TN 37862, or to Mt. Paran Church Children's Ministry at 2055 Mt. Paran Rd. Atlanta, GA 30237 in memory of Mrs. Hood.
