She was predeceased by: her parents, John Oscar "J. O." Chastain and Katy Chastain (Bradley); and her husband Leroy Eugene Rice. She is survived by: her daughters, Karen Henson (Alex) of Ellijay and Rebecca Reed (Mitchell) of Blue Ridge, GA; her siblings, Kenneth Chastain (Noleta) and Rosa Jones; her grandchildren, Ashley Cameron, Nicholas Reed, Nicole Starnes and Kelly Henson; her great grandchildren, Lyra Cameron, Weston Starnes and Isla Cameron; her siblings-in-law, Modean Rice, Pauline Ware, Helen Rice, Betty McKinney and Max Ware; and also, Jessica Hensley, Scott and Jenna Wolfe. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International in memory of Mrs. Kathey Rice.
