He was predeceased by: his parents, Livingston Franklin Herring and Eunice Waddell Herring; and his siblings, Carroll Bryan Herring and Yvonne L. Larkins. He is survived by: his wife Sara Herring of Ellijay, GA; his son Erik; his daughter-in-law Tracy Herring of Canton, GA; his daughter Debi; his son-in-law Frank Klemens of Ellijay, GA; his sister-in-law Judith Herring; and his grandchildren, Todd Klemens, Rhiannon Lundquist, Kevin Klemens, Andrue Herring, Cannon Herring and Savannah Herring. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter.
