He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Reece Layman and Thelma Brady Layman; and his brother John Reese Layman. He is survived by: his wife Nancy McEwen; his sons, JB and Scott; his daughters-in-law, Tannis and Jane; his grandchildren, Reece (Faye Layman) and Tanya (Rens De Koning); his great grandchildren, Micah Layman, Felicity Layman, Katrina Layman, Charlotte De Koning and Madeleine De Koning; and his sister Sharlene Hedrick. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
