He was predeceased by: his parents, Harlie Chance and Venna Mae Arnold Chance; his wife Marjorie; and his siblings, Raymon and Frances Mathis.
He is survived by: his children, Ronald Chance (Edith) of Lafayette, GA, Marvin Chance (Judy) of Ellijay, GA, Edward Chance (Becky) of Sonoraville, GA and Michelle Kersey (Brandon) of Dalton, GA; his grandchildren, Dana Cleverley (Travis) of Lafayette, GA, Dawn Brown (Eric) of Lafayette, GA, Kaitlin Jones (Jacob) of Cumming, GA, Sarah Wheat (Dustin) of Resaca, GA, Robbie Chance of Sonoraville, GA and McKinley Kersey of Dalton, GA; his son Jack Kersey of Dalton, GA; his siblings, David Chance (Snookie) of Dalton, GA, Linda Thompson (Lloyd) of Dalton, Marlene Jones (Jeff) of Summerville, SC and Darlene Lucas (David) of McEwen, TN; and his brother-in-law Bradley Mathis of Dalton, GA.. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren and many, many, many nieces and nephews.
