He was predeceased by: his parents, Marie Emma and William Martin Steif; his daughter Marie Deann Steif Harris; and his brothers, Ormin Steif and Howard Steif.
He is survived by: his wife Velma Irene "Micki" Steif; his sons, Robert Julius John Steif, Jr. (Michele) of Beaufort, SC and Joshua William Bryant (Amanda) of Ellijay, GA; his grandchildren, Alana Joi Harris Wilkins, Anthony James Harris and Stella James Bryant; and his siblings, Gerald Orin Steif (Roxanne) of Bonduel, WI and Marlene Felts of Bullhead City, AZ. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to GA Mountains Hospice or to the Wounded Warriors Project in memory of Mr. Steif.
