With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ronnie Jay Chastain of Ellijay, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 17, 2024 at the age of 67. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid adieu to Ronnie Jay's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Ronnie Jay has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding us through the labyrinth of life's journey.

He was predeceased by : his parents, C. J. Chastain and Carolyn Byers Chastain. He is survived by : his wife Nancy Davis Chastain of Ellijay; his daughter Katherine Mize (Justin) of Ellijay; his brothers, Carroll Chastain of Ellijay and Jeff Chastain of Ellijay; and his granddaughter Brooke Mize.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Bernhardt Funeral Home (163 River St, Ellijay, GA 30540). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
