He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Brown and Ladenna Scott (Champion); his siblings, Ruby Crump, Catherine Crump and Floyd Scott; his daughters-in-law, Diane Scott and Margaret Scott; and his siblings-in-law, Audrey Scott, Ruby Newton, Bernice Worley, Martha Rackley, Gladys Boatner, Ed Boatner, Tommy Crump and James Crump.
He is survived by: his wife Isabelle Scott (Boatner); his sons, Wayne (Margaret Scott), Johnny (Donna Scott), Clay (Cindy Scott) and Tommy (Diane Scott); and his grandchildren, Justin Scott (Carrie), LeeAnn Teague (Josh), Christopher Scott (Andrea), Jody Scott (Regan), Jacob Scott (Beth), Angela Dale Hensley, Laura Bryant, Sarah Sawyer, Jamie Lovingood, Whitney McCoin and Aaron Floyd. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Logan Funeral Home (357 Dalton St, Ellijay, GA 30540). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Logan Funeral Home Chapel (357 Dalton St, Ellijay, GA 30540).
Food and flowers are being accepted, or memorial contributions can be made to Little Baptist Church, c/o Clay Scott, 1423 Dalrymple Circle, Ellijay, Georgia 30540, in memory of Rev. Roy Scott.
