We bid farewell to Shirley Ann Woodring Sluder of Ellijay, Georgia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 3, 2025 at the age of 86. Shirley Ann touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Noah Woodring and Artie Davis Woodring; her daughter Sandra Diane Watkins; her stepdaughter Renee Rogers; and her siblings, Edward, Walden, David Woodring and Virginia Goble.
She is survived by: her husband Wayne Sluder, Sr.; her children, Sharon Satterfield (Rick Creekmore) of Ellijay and Jackson M. Watkins (Larry Jones) of Ellijay; her grandson Dallas Satterfield of Ellijay; her siblings, Eugene Woodring (Carolyn) of Ellijay, Grandy Woodring of Ellijay and Betty Raikes (David) of Ellijay; and her stepchildren, Abby Chancey Ellijay (Gerald), Shelia Cochran (Gene) of Sugar Creek and Wayne Sluder, Jr. of Ellijay. She is also survived by several step-grandchildren; 14 step-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Bernhardt Funeral Home (163 River St, Ellijay, GA 30540). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home (163 River St, Ellijay, GA 30540).
