He was predeceased by: his parents, Lamar Blackwell and Martha Blackwell. He is survived by: his wife Jama Blackwell of Ellijay; his brother Scott; his sister-in-law Bridget Blackwell of Ball Ground; his nephew Levi Blackwell of Ball Ground; his stepchildren, Britney Hightower of Ellijay and Nathaniel Gravley of Ellijay; and his grandchildren, Logan Hightower, David Hightower and Nolan.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Roper Funeral Home and Crematory (206 Holly St, Jasper, GA 30143). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Roper Funeral Home Chapel (206 Holly St, Jasper, GA 30143).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Parkinson's Foundation at parkinson.org.
