He was predeceased by : his parents, Harry Barclay and Ruth Davis Johnson; his sister Jeanette Carpenter; his close friend Gene Brackett; and his brother-in-law Daniel Hicks.
He is survived by : his wife Rachel Hicks Davis; his daughter Sheila Taylor (Jeff) of Epworth, Georgia; his grandchildren, Kelleigh Taylor and Josh Taylor of Epworth, Georgia; his brother Larry Dilbeck (Laquita) of McCaysville; and his siblings-in-law, Lloyd Hicks, Grady Hicks and Beatrice Hicks.
