She was predeceased by: her father Frank McCarthy; her brother Dennis McCarthy; her mother Miriam Knox McCarthy; and her cousins, Clayton and Rosemonde Burgess.
She is survived by: her sibling Denny; her children, Duane Degler, Denise Dozier and Douglas Degler; her children-in-law, Lisa Battle, Dean Dozier and Laura Degler; her grandson Casey Dozier; and her great grandchild Shayne Revis.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 24th 2025 at 10:30 AM at 1800 Glenallan Avenue, Wheaton-Glenmont, MD 20902.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Women for Women International, Doctors Without Borders, and the International Rescue Committee, all worthy causes close to her heart.
