He was predeceased by: his parents, Jean Saylor and Donald Wahl; and his former wife Kathleen Saylor (Lavish). He is survived by: his wife Patricia Thomas Balbag Saylor; his brother Ronald Wahl of Sundance, Wyoming; his son Joseph Balbag (Kathy Hayes) of Trenton, SC; and his grandsons, Keiran Balbag of Dallas, TX and Andrew Balbag of Trenton, SC. He is also survived by numerous in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association of America or Tunnel for Towers Organization.
