He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Judith Gail (Edge); his daughter Courtney; his mother Bonnie Claxton (Hooks); his siblings, John (Tina), Stan, Patricia Kight (Alvie) of Vidalia and Cecelia Dykes (John); his siblings' children, Eric (Jason Dykes), Jordan (Morgan Kight), Joshua (Ryan Claxton), Justin (Colton Claxton), Lauren Kight, McKenzie Claxton and Kaitlyn Claxton; his uncles, Jerry Hooks and Delbert Palacz; his aunt Kay Pryor (Hooks); his son Christopher; his father Stanley E.; and his grandparents, Herbert, Minnie Hooks (Kight) and Eula Claxton (Braddy). He was also cherished by numerous cousins, great nephews and nieces.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made to Whole Life Ministries in Charles' memory in order to further the Gospel and to continue planting seeds in order to grow the Kingdom of God.
