She was predeceased by: her parents, John Earl Cromer and Margaret Berley Cromer; her sister Peggy Cromer; and her brothers-in-law, Charles Doolittle and Dr. William Wilkes.
She is survived by: her husband Dr. James Wilkes; her son Zachary Wilkes (Amanda); her stepson John Wilkes (Kara); her sisters, Erma Johnson, Lou Doolittle and Vickie Bost (Dennis); and her siblings-in-law, Dr. Joseph Wilkes (Debby), Ginger Wiley (John) and Jane Wilkes. She is also survived by three grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Platt's Funeral Home (337 N Belair Rd, Evans, GA 30809).
