He was predeceased by: his parents, Felton Margaret Fraser Powers and Noah Alexander Powers; his siblings, Helen Powers Herndon, Jack Powers, Harold Powers, Samuel "Sam" Powers, Edward "Ed" Powers and James "Marvin" Powers; and his granddaughter Alyssa Faith Scarbary.
He is survived by: his wife Lullene Walker Powers of Evans; his daughters, Pamela Powers Peer-Floyd (Marcus) of Hiawasee and Janice Powers Scarbary (Paul) of Augusta, GA.; his grandchildren, Mark McLeskey of Milledgeville, Brittany VanGalder (Daniel) of Marietta, Tyler Scarbary of Augusta and Angelyn Munson (Chris) of Lexington, SC.; and his great grandchildren, Jordyn VanGalder and Daniel "Lee" VanGalder.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested a donation be made to Mulberry Street United Methodist Church.
