George E. Tuten Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George E. Tuten of Evans, Georgia, who passed away on June 8, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James B. Tuten and Ethel H. Tuten; and his brother William P. "Billy" Tuten. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Anne Tuten; his children, Robert E. "Robbie" Tuten, Tara Longmire (Matt) and Jeanna Martin (Zac); his grandchildren, Michael, Ellie, Landon and Kara Martin; his siblings, Cathy Keane (Don Tyre), James E. O. Tuten (Virginia) and G. Ray Tuten (Carol); and his sister-in-law Patricia Tuten. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Calendar Platt's Funeral Home - Evans (337 N Belair Rd, Evans, GA 30809). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Calendar Warren Baptist Church (3203 Washington Rd, Augusta, GA 30907).
