He was predeceased by: his parents, George Robert Perry, Sr. and Emma Grace Greer Perry; his wife Sylvia Born Perry; and his sisters, Betty Grace Merritt and Mary Sue Johnson.
He is survived by: his children, Sylvia Dennis and James "Jimmy" Perry; and his grandchildren, Richard Thornton (Ashleigh), Stacey Thornton (Stephen), Sarah Dennis (Tristen) and Allison Maddox (Chandler). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
