It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jack Steven Cawthon of Evans, Georgia, who passed away on May 3, 2026, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Jack departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Jack may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Jack leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Cawthon and Gladys Cawthon. He is survived by: his son Christopher Cawthon of Evans, GA.; his brother Ron Cawthon Monique (Keith Cawthon); his nephew Jeremy Cawthon (Kiki); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Tyler and Coleton; and his wife Neva.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 7th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Chance and Hydrick Funeral Directors (2520 Richmond Hill Rd, Augusta, GA 30906). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 7th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
