We announce the death of James A Glasscock (Martinez, Georgia), who passed away on September 16, 2026, at the age of 91. James will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellis Glasscock and Madie Glasscock; his wife Lorretta Petroski (Sumter); and his children, Becky Burrell and Vincent Glasscock.

He is survived by: his son Jim Glasscock (Becky); his son-in-law Michael Burrell; his grandsons, Michael Burrell (Jaclyn), James Burrell (Britany) and James Glasscock III (Carla); and his great grandchildren, Jackson, Kaitlyn, Caden, Kayleigh and Liam James.

In honor of James's memory, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
