She was predeceased by: her parents, Phanuel E. Grider and Sara Grider. She is survived by: her husband John W. Cason, Jr.; her daughters, Kristina Cason Fowler and Anna Marie Cason; her granddaughter Everlee Gray Fowler; and her siblings, Galen Grider (Shelley) and Sheila Grider Wahman (Chris). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Starling Funeral Home (435 W Milledgeville Rd, Harlem, GA 30814). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Harlem Memorial Cemetery (310 S Bell St, Harlem, GA 30814).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Georgia Cancer Center, with gifts designated toward leukemia research and treatment, so that the fight against leukemia may continue and bring hope to other families.
