He was predeceased by: his parents, Rephard Sapp and Elizabeth Woods Sapp; his wife Harriett Haire Sapp; and his brothers, Thomas, James and Wallace Sapp.
He is survived by: his children, Sheila Blackburn (Chris), Stacey Dees (Russ) and Joey "Bear" Sapp (Lindsey); his grandchildren, Maggie Dees, Chandler Blackburn (Tori), Mila, Wilson Sapp and Holden Chester; his great grandchild Ella Blackburn; and his siblings, Sandra Martin and Gene Sapp.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home (513 W Main St, Claxton, GA 30417). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
