With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Kathy Thompson Ringel of Evans, Georgia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her son Christopher Blair Ringel; her parents, Robert Thompson and Lola Thompson; her siblings, Rev. Robert H. Thompson, II (Patricia Thompson Finch) and Elizabeth Thompson (John P. Thompson); her parents-in-law, Eugene J. Ringel and Betty Trunnell Ringel; and her niece Missy Kahlan-Carver.
She is survived by: her husband Eugene "Butch" J. Ringel, II; her children, Kathryn "Katie" Ringel Gomez (Jose), Dianna Ringel Dunaway (Eric), Eugene "Joseph" Ringel, III (Sandy) and Lauren Andrea Ringel; her sister Cecelia "C. C." Thompson Flanders (Joe); her grandchildren, Aleia, Alexis, Hannah, Emma, Julianna, Molly Grace, Alana, Owen, Blair and Logan; her great grandchild Malaya; and her sibling's children, Robert Thompson (Debbie), Stephanie Childs (Nathan), Bryan Finch, Jenna Finch Gillis (Bret), Elizabeth "Biba" Peters, Amy Glass (David), Anna Glenn (Brad), Capers Thompson (Susan), Wil Thompson, Joe Flanders (Heather), Marianne McBride (Justin), Anne Fairey (Robert), Christine Turner (Dale), Doug Kahlan (Amy), Chris Kahlan (April), Jeff Kahlan (Laura), Pete Carver, Ashley Rayner (Chris), Zachary Ringel (Stephanie), Rebecca Jones (Mitchell) and Patrick Ringel (Georgie). She is also survived by numerous great-nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Platt's Funeral Home - Evans (337 N Belair Rd, Evans, GA 30809).
