It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard John Dermody Jr. of Evans, Georgia, who passed away on January 28, 2026, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
As we bid Richard farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Richard is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard John Dermody Sr. and Lorraine Kazik Dermody; his brother Gregory Dermody; and his parents-in-law, Dick Cohick and Betty Cohick.
He is survived by: his wife Candice Cohick Dermody; his daughter Lauren Burke Garren (Bryan); his grandson Cameron Peter Garren; and his sisters, Maggie Dermody and Patty Gregorich (Bob). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and his loving friends.
