He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred E. Graves and Doris Denman Graves (Denman); his son Michael Robert Graves; his brother Jack Graves; and his in-laws, Ronald Carey, Barbara, Franklin Stentz, Ruth and Jack Nichols.

He is survived by: his wife Margaret Louise Graves (Carey); his daughter Dr. Tammara L. Graves Bryan (Steven Craig) of Evans, GA; his grandchildren, Austin Craig Bryan of Seattle, WA and Michala Louise Bryan of Atlanta, GA; his brothers, Don Graves (Donna) of Cherokee, OK and David Graves (Beverly) of Huron, OH; and his siblings-in-law, Marolyn Graves of Wakeman, OH, Phyllis, Jim Brown of Shelby, OH and Martha Carey of Clarksfield, OH. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
