She was predeceased by: her husbands, W. R. "Woody" Irwin and Bennie "Gene" Shirey; her parents, Dorothy Erickson and Leonard "Ike" Murphey; and her siblings, Michael Murphey, Lenora Bailiff and Debra Campbell.
She is survived by: her children, Angela Thiel Hamlin (Ted Hamlin), Benny Shirey (Margaret Shirey) and Ginger Shirey Ombler; her grandchildren, William (Melinda), Christie Thiel, Jennifer Dupiest, Tessa Bullard (Ashley) and Meranda Holland; and her great grandchildren, Tristen Thiel, Austin Thiel, Gracie Thiel, Kylie Mims, Corey Thiel, Dexter (DJ), Leilani Wade, Asher Bullard, Addi Bullard, Raleighn O'Pry, Harper Holland, Emily Weir, Savannah Weir and Aiden Weir.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Chance and Hydrick Funeral Directors (2502 Richmond Hill Rd, Augusta, GA 30906).
