He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Aderine Waits Jr. and Martha Nell Oliver Waits. He is survived by: his daughter Roxana Catherine Waits; his son-in-law Jonathan Cain Bolton (Catherine Waits); his brother Albert Alan Waits; his sister-in-law Linda of Newnan; and his sibling's children, Andrew Waits, Courtney Waits Pate and Heather Waits Crook.
