It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mark Wathen (Fairburn, Georgia), born in Chamblee, Georgia, who passed away on April 7, 2023, at the age of 53, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his father Patrick Wathen, Sr.; his sister Ann; and his sister-in-law Gwen Bramblett. He is survived by : his mother Doris Huber Wathen (Bitsy); his wife Leila Kay Wathen; his children, Alex Wathen, Claire Wathen and Cate Wathen; his brothers, Patrick Wathen, Jr. (Paula) and David Wathen (Elizabeth); his parents-in-law, Marc and Jerry Bramblett; his siblings-in-law, Marci Edge (Michael), Amy Weaver (John), Marc Bramblett, Jr. (Kelly) and Matthew Bramblett (Sandi); and his pet Sebastian. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Outside of work, Mark was a member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Matthew Catholic Church and was tapped to stream Mass online during the pandemic and until his illness made it too difficult.
