With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Martha Prater Foote Gordon in Fairburn, Georgia, born in Atlanta, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 19, 2025 at the age of 101. She was predeceased by: her former husbands, Wayland Ivy Foote, Jr. and Rev. Patrick Giffinand; her husband Thomas Clifford Gordon, Sr.; her parents, Robert Prater and Mattie Prater; and her grandson John O. Wallace, III.
She is survived by: her children, Wayland Foote (Joan) and Donna Wallace (John); her sister Joyce Hendrick; her grandsons, Matthew G. Wallace, Sr. (Amanda), Michael B. Wallace (LeAnne) and Jason S. Foote (Meagan); and her great grandchildren, Matthew G. Wallace, Jr. (Brooke), Ashley Brown (Ryan), Ariel Smith (Michael), Brooke Combs (Jarred), Heather Wallace (Frank Coate), John T. Wallace, Justin Wallace, Cameron Foote and Brandon Foote.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Parrott Funeral Home & Crematory (8355 Senoia Rd, Fairburn, GA 30213). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Parrott Funeral Home (8355 Senoia Rd, Fairburn, GA 30213).
