She was predeceased by : her parents, Thomas Byrd and Ruth Jones Byrd; and her husband Joseph W. Steed, Jr.. She is survived by : her children, Deborah "Debbie" Steed Webb (Jim), Diane Steed Weaver (Bruce), Denise "Nesie" Steed Compton (Ronald) and Joseph W. "Joey" Steed, III (Jodi); her grandchildren, Meredith, Allison, Christopher, Patrick, Dreama and Melissa (Aaron); and her great grandchild Ryder.
