He was predeceased by: his parents, Jefferson Jernigan and Cora Jernigan. He is survived by: his wife Lou Dale Jernigan; his children, Jenny Northcutt (Mark), John Jernigan and Angie Rainwater (Donald); his grandchildren, Brad Northcutt (Nicole), Laura Chalk (Thorne), D. J. Morrow (Christine), Garrett Morrow (Haley) and Hunter Morrow (Kierstin); his great grandchildren, Katie Schlief, Harding Chalk, Adeline Morrow, Arbin Chalk, Magnolia Loudale Morrow and Emmett Morrow; and his siblings, Reba Driver (Fred), Sarah Davis, Ted Jernigan (Maryanne), Vann Jernigan (Shirley), Carron Jernigan, Laris Jernigan, Lillian "Dee" Croker and Charlotte "Girley" Campbell.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Parrott Funeral Home (8355 Senoia Rd, Fairburn, GA 30213). A celebration of life was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Bethlehem Baptist Church (5485 Bethlehem Rd, Fairburn, GA 30213).
