He was predeceased by: his parents, Esperanza Lanuez and Zacharias Conrado Perez Bonilla; and his brother Frank Perez. He is survived by: his wife Ellen Samuels; his children, Sean Perez, Ayanna Shephard, Kim Walton, Charisse Jackson and Ellen "Jo" Wiley; and his sister Esperanza Reid-Hart (Barrington) of New York. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended relatives, friends.
