He was predeceased by: his son Wayne. He is survived by: his wife Joyce; his daughter Diane (Jeffrey); his daughter-in-law Helen; his grandchildren, Sean (Olyvia), Madeline (Boomer), Kelly (Alex), Darby and Emily; and his great grandchild Mackenzie.
His groundbreaking contributions to high-voltage transmission and optical transducer technologies earned him two R&D 100 Awards, the IEEE Third Millennium Medal, and CIGRE Attwood Associate honors.
