He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Albert Long and IIula Wilson Long. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Rainey Long; his children, Nancy Karen Jones (Roger Lee Jones), Darlene Fitch (Glyn Fitch) and Marion Mark Long (Christie); his sisters, Elda Hasty, Mary Gazaway, Norma Mcheffey (Clyde) and Laura Sue Gartel; and his son Rev. David Peeler (Susan). He is also survived by several Grandchildren, and Great Grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home (711 College St, Calhoun, GA 30701).
